Job Summary

  • The ideal candidate understands that SaaS email marketing is a blend of persuasive copywriting, complex workflow automation, and rigorous database management.
  • We are looking for a strategic and technical SaaS Lifecycle & Email Marketing Specialist to own the end-to-end email ecosystem. In this role, you will be responsible for more than just sending newsletters; you will architect the user journey from the initial sign-up to long-term renewal.
  • Your mission is to reduce churn and increase Customer Lifetime Value (CLV) through highly personalized, behavior-triggered automation and robust technical deliverability.

Core Duties & Responsibilities

  • Technical Deliverability & Bulk Mailing: Manage the technical health of our email operations, including SPF, DKIM, and DMARC authentication. You will oversee IP/Domain warming and utilize SMTP relays to ensure high-volume sends reach the inbox.
  • Performance Analysis & Optimization: Track and report on critical SaaS metrics, including Trial-to-Paid conversion rates, churn impact, and engagement heatmaps to continuously refine strategy.
  • Marketing Automation Workflows: Design and implement complex behavioral triggers within the CRM to ensure the right message reaches the right user at the exact moment of need.
  • Onboarding & Lifecycle Automation: Create and manage automated sequences that guide new users to their "Aha!" moment. You will craft the full lifecycle journey, including welcome series, trial extensions, feature adoption prompts, and retention campaigns.
  • Database Hygiene & Reputation Management: Maintain a pristine sender reputation by regularly cleaning inactive or invalid addresses and monitoring ISP feedback loops to avoid blacklisting.
  • Segmentation & Personalization: Architect sophisticated audience segments based on user behavior, subscription tier, and engagement levels to deliver hyper-relevant messaging that drives product usage.

Key Skills & Qualifications

  • Technical Literacy: Functional knowledge of HTML/CSS for editing responsive email templates and a deep understanding of email authentication protocols.
  • Data Analysis: Proficiency in interpreting CRM data and Google Analytics to identify friction points in the user funnel.
  • Automation Architecture: Expert-level ability to design and troubleshoot complex, multi-step behavioral workflows and logic branches.
  • SaaS Copywriting & Strategy: Ability to write compelling, action-oriented copy, high-value subject lines, and clear CTAs that drive users back into the product.
  • A/B Testing Discipline: A methodical approach to testing subject lines, content layouts, and delivery timing to maximize ROI.
